Fifth Death Reported; Expanded Data Included In Case Counts
Current cases: Utah’s confirmed cases of COVID-19 increased by 81 on Tuesday after more than 2,500 additional tests were reported, for a total of 887. The state’s fifth death has also been reported. As with previous days, nearly half of the new confirmed cases (36) were in Salt Lake County. Other local health departments reporting new cases include Davis (7), San Juan (2), Southwest Utah (6), Summit (5), Tooele (3), Utah (13), Wasatch (6), and Weber-Morgan (2). You can see the cases on our the expanded dashboard, which now includes total hospitalizations since the outbreak started and demographics of positive tests.
GOED loans: Because of the recent COVID-19 pandemic, the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic announces a plan to help Utah small business owners. The Utah Leads Together Small Business Bridge Loan program offers a bridge loan to the state’s small businesses with 50 or fewer employees.
